There is a document, which might answer questions you have about the maps:
If this doesn't help, here are some common questions about the maps:
| Q: | What is the job number? | |
| A: | To ensure, that calculations for multiple users using the service at the same time, will refer to the correct data files calculated for them, filenames used are coded by job numbers. The job number is a unique number given to a program started on every UNIX computer. Hence, the job number is different for every single plot you make, even if you use the same input data for it. To plot data calculated for a distribution map into a plate tectonic map, you have to tell the plate tectonic mapping system, which files it should access. That's what you're doing by entering the job number there. |
