This is the fossil distribution plotting service. In this section you can plot the distribution of certain fossils based on DSDP-data and about 200 ODP-sites to present day world maps. Please read the help page and reference information for more info on how these maps are calculated and what data is used.
The database can be searched for the occurrance of more than 5000 different fossils of several groups. For lists of fossilnames, which can be searched for, check these lists on Planktonic Forams, Benthic Forams, Diatoms, Calcareous Nannos, Silicious Nannos, Radiolarians, Bolboforms.
